Every instructor gets a personal referral link in Settings. Get a colleague to sign up through it and upgrade to Pro, and you get a free month of Pro while they get 20% off their first one. Refer as many colleagues as you want.
Pro and Institution are both self-serve now
Sign up free, then upgrade to Pro any time in Settings. Or create an organization workspace and buy Institution seats there, priced per instructor per year. New members get a seat automatically if there's room, but nobody's locked into whoever happened to join first: an org admin can revoke and reassign any seat to any instructor, any time, from the same screen. We haven't wired up a real payment processor yet, so upgrading activates your plan directly rather than charging a card — see Settings for exactly what that means right now. Why AI generation is the one metered thing
Every question generated calls a paid AI model behind the scenes, which makes it the one part of Oritavo with a real, ongoing cost per use. Assessments, delivery, grading, and practice mode don't touch that cost at all, and that's why they stay unlimited on every tier, Free included.
What happens if you outgrow your limit
You'll see your usage building up in the app before you hit the ceiling, so it never shows up as a surprise mid-task. Hitting the limit doesn't touch anything you've already generated, and writing questions by hand is never metered, only AI generation is. After that, a credit top-up or a Pro upgrade both get you moving again, whichever fits how often you actually need the extra room.
